By the end of 1962 soul music was certainly making its presence known and our would-be 'deep' luminaries were coming out of the woodwork. Exemplified here with seminal deep soul cuts by Wilson Pickett & The Falcons, Sam Cooke, Syl Johnson, Joe Simon, Judy Clay, Bob & Earl, Irma Thomas and many, many more. And obviously, this one includes the Big O's earthshaking debut, "These Arms Of Mine", released in early November on Stax Records' Volt imprint.
This installment comes in four helpings, featuring tracks mined from both the Darling Dear and Deep Dish Delicacies
anthologies. Additionally, a whopping 58 of the 100 tracks here, have
not yet been featured in either series. All tracks re-sourced and/or
